Mask Information and school policies as of September 10, 2020
Facemasks may be cloth or disposable.
Only solid color facemasks (student’s choice of color) are allowable daily - except on Wednesdays (see below)
.ASCS will have face masks available for purchase (set of 4 different colors for $10 or by color choice $3 each)
Students should have a second clean face mask available daily.
Wacky Wednesdays - Except for Mass days, students may wear a print facemask of their choice. Designs must be acceptable for our Catholic school setting - no words, pictures or symbols of drugs, alcohol, marijuana, violence (guns, knives, dripping blood,etc.) If in doubt, ask!
Bandana face coverings, neck gaitors, hood type face coverings and masks with plastic vents may not be worn at any time.
For grades 2 - 8, face shields may be worn in addition to the mask if desired but not in place of a mask.
Students in PreK, K and Grade 1 are not required to wear facemasks however, students in PreK, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 are strongly encouraged to wear masks or face shields if masks are not tolerated.
Exceptions to wearing masks/face coverings will be made for those whom it is not possible due to medical conditions, disability impact, or other health or safety factors. Face shields are a recommended option for students with medical challenges who are unable to wear a mask. Parents must provide a doctor’s note if their students is not able to wear a face mask.
