Greetings All Saints Families!
Monday, August 31 is our opening date for both on-site and distance learners! The first week of school will be 11:30 dismissal daily with Extended Care available. Please note - NBPS Food Service (free breakfast and lunch) will begin on Thursday, September 10th.
During the first week of school, ( August 31 - Sept 4) the following food restrictions will apply :
Please be sure your student eats breakfast before coming to school this week. Breakfast will not be served, and students will not be given the opportunity to have breakfast brought from home. Breakfast will become part of the schedule as of September 8th.
Morning Extended Care students arriving before 7:15 may bring breakfast items to be consumed before 7:30 in Extended Care during this first week only. Beginning September 8, no food may be consumed in morning Ex Care.
Students who will be attending Extended Care after 11:30 dismissal, will need to bring a packed lunch including a drink. Please remember to bring a meal cloth or paper dinner napkin. If your student will be in Ex Care until 3 pm or later, please pack a snack & drink which will be consumed at the Extended Care snack time (2:40 pm).
Please see the schedule of classes for this week for Grades 1 - 8 and watch for the schedule for week 2 next Friday. These schedules allow distance learners to know when to join their classes through Google Meet each day. Orange shaded boxes are log in times for distance learners. Log in codes are provided on the schedules.
This weekend, the latest update of ASCS Opening School Plan and FAQ will be posted on the school website and will be revised to reflect new DESE and DPH requirements as necessary in the future.
The 2020 - 2021 Parent & Student Handbook will be posted on the ASCS website in the coming days. There are TWO signature pages required this year - one for the handbook itself and one for the diocesan appendix on distance learning.
It was wonderful to see so many of you at last week’s Virtual Parent Meetings. Together we can make this year a great experience for our students!
By school opening all students should have their Google and IXL credentials. These will be emailed to all new students’ families. If your student does not have access by Monday, please email me asap.
We welcome our new families and students as they begin their student’s educational journey at ASCS. Please keep our school and our families in your prayers!
In Christ’s Peace,
Mrs. Massoud
For your consideration this week:
Parent/Family Access to the School Buildings
Once school begins, parents will not be allowed to enter the school building, including the lobby, before 8:10 am and between 2:15 - 2:45 pm. At other times, parents who need to access the school office will be allowed to enter the lobby one family at a time, where they will be greeted at the plexiglass station outside of the office. Forms, etc.may be dropped off in the white mailbox outside of the main lobby at any time. After 8:10 am, larger items may be dropped off or picked up at the table immediately inside the front lobby doors. Please ring the bell for access.
Learning Decisions
Please note that desk arrangements in classrooms have been set to reflect the number of students we currently have on our on-site rosters.
If you would like to switch to distance learning at any time, please contact Mrs. Massoud/ Mrs. Camara.
If your would like to switch back to on-site from distance learning, please contact Mrs. Massoud/Mrs. Camara. Please note that there may be up to a three day waiting period if we need to reconfigure the classroom to provide a seat for your student.
To arrange a hybrid schedule for your student (specific days on-site and specific days distance learning, please email Mrs. Massoud).
Extended Care

Bus Students
If you need bus service for your student it is crucial that you contact Mrs. Camara immediately. If your student will be riding the bus, Bus guidelines will be provided. At present, all students K - 8 who are riding the bus must wear masks and will be assigned a seat to maintain social distancing.
FACTS SIS
Parents are asked to update emergency, pickup and all other demographic information for each of their students so that the school has accurate records and contacts for your student. All students need to have emergency contacts listed (not just parents).

Distance learning students will be required to wear an ASCS t-shirt or the green or tan ASCS polo shirt for all distance learning classes.
We will not be requiring “formal Fridays”/full dress uniform until after the October national holiday.
Due to anticipated heat, during the first few weeks of school students will have the option of wearing Spirit Uniform - any ASCS t-shirt with ASCS gym shorts, Donnelly’s khaki shorts, loose fit jeans or loose fit capris with socks & sneakers.
Supply Drop Off:
All supplies (family and for the individual student) should have been dropped off during the past two weeks. If you have not yet dropped off your student’s supplies or family supplies, you may do so after 11:45 am any day this week.
Face Masks see https://ascsnb.org/
Our shipment of facemasks is delayed. If you were planning on purchasing masks from the school, you student may use whatever face masks they have until the shipment arrives. Watch for an email announcement!
Hand Sanitizer
ASCS will have hand sanitizer available for use by students and staff while in school as an effective alternative for cleaning hands if soap and water are not readily available. Hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol) is recommended as an alternative to soap and water by CDC and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Parents/legal guardians are allowed to opt their child out of using hand sanitizer by sending a written notice to the school.
